Meet The Author
Debbie CONSALVO
I was born in Leominster, Massachusetts, and throughout my entire life, I found great joy in playing sports. Reading, on the other hand, was never a big interest of mine. However, everything changed when I became a parent to two beautiful girls. The arrival of my daughters sparked a newfound love for reading. Witnessing their imaginative journeys through books during their preschool years ignited a desire within me to pursue a preschool teacher certification.
Reading to the children as a preschool teacher brought me immense pleasure. The pure delight and wonder that illuminated their faces as the stories came to life served as my inspiration. Through these interactions, I realized that I harbored a deep longing to create my own children’s book. It was a dream that grew stronger with the birth of my grandson, Dean, as it reignited my passion for children’s books.
Motivated by this, I decided to take action.
MY CALLING BECOMES MY PASSION
Now that I’ve embraced my calling, I embarked on a journey to learn the art of writing my
first children’s book.
What should I write about? I wanted to craft an interactive, funny, and educational
experience for young readers.
Enter Milo, the star of the show!
Milo happens to be my beloved grand dog. His curious nature, boundless energy, and
knack for getting easily distracted make him the perfect character for my book series.
And so, a brilliant idea struck me!
I decided to create a captivating collection called
“Adventures of Milo the Dog.”
Meet milo
Milo was adopted from Northeast Animal Shelter by my daughter, Carlee, and her husband, Jon, in 2019. He is a mixed breed with distinct features that set him apart. He has one eye that is half white, one ear that flops down, and crooked corgi feet.
Milo enjoys boat rides, chasing squirrels, eating treats, and especially making new friends.
